Gallery :: Echo Mountain atop Lower Sam Merrill 27 jan 2010

It was a beautiful day today, what was supposed to be yet another gloomy and rainy day. Thankfully the sun continued to shine as I set out with my BFF Little Miss S.  We rode to Echo Mountain, where much Pasadena history took place. We browsed the ruins of the old rail car, and managed to clean a few tight switchbacks, and almost fell over when a giant plume of funny grass smoke hit us going around of the tight, exposed switchbacks… the guy with the long hair standing in the bushes watching, not knowing we saw him until I said “Wow, I can can smell that alright!”.  It felt good to be on the mountain bike today, and my legs felt GREAT in spite of double superset superlegs last night and a 5k run.  (Thanks Repair, really).

Now back to the other grind… ! Enjoy your day, and let’s ride soon! I miss all of you!

namaste,
